TTS Prompt Sets
As an alternative to recordings, SVOX offers to build TTS prompt sets using SVOX SpeechCreate. These TTS prompt sets can be delivered as audio files, or as SpeechCreate (parameter) files that control the output of the TTS engine integrated on the target.
Later, either types of TTS prompts can be changed with SVOX SpeechCreate, and this work can be done by SVOX or by the customers with a licensed copy of the SVOX SpeechCreate software.
TTS prompt sets have the following advantages over recorded prompt sets:
1. Shorter lead time:
TTS prompt sets can be created in parallel for all required languages, whereas recorded prompt sets are recorded sequentially, language by language, in the studio.
2. Higher flexibility:
TTS prompts can be changed easily without requiring the particular speaker(s) to return to the studio. Incremental TTS prompts can be created in a matter of a few hours.
3. Better sound:
While a human voice changes between recording sessions, TTS prompts always sound the same and can be perfectly mixed even after many years.
