Mr. Volker Jantzen is a member of the Board of Directors and former CEO of SVOX. He holds degrees in Business Administration and Computer Science. His research field at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology comprised text-to-speech, speech recognition and computer linguistics, a field he had also pursued while working at IBM. In 1998, he founded Intelliact, a leading player in the Swiss product data management market. Mr. Jantzen's keen eye for market potential and his ongoing fascination with languages and speech processing led him to found SVOX in April 2000 and over the next 9 years make the company the leading supplier of embedded speech solutions. Mr. Jantzen has led SVOX until March 2009 and continues to be actively involved with the company as a board member.

In addition to his work at SVOX, Mr. Jantzen has been an honored member of the advisory board for the respected and industry-leading Speech Technology Magazine. His experience in human-machine interfaces makes him a frequent interviewee in leading telematics & navigation publications.
